We're in Pennslvanya

A couple days ago we flew into Pennsylvania and then we drove three hours and forty-five minutes to my grammy's house. I slept most of the time, but that's what my mom said.

The next few days until right now we were put hard to work lifting heavy bags,dressers and desks into a big trash can. After that the painting came. We painted Dan's section of the room first then the down stairs bathroom, then we painted the other section in Glenn's "room" and while they (my aunt& brothers) I tore out a big old carpet that ran down the stairs and had lots of nail row after row. I got poked at least four times.

And now uncle Dan is painting the ceiling of the living room. We're painting the house white although it is white in some places but you can see a lot of difference when you paint with the new paint.

I am exited to go to Salt Lake City. We are going on a plane to Pennsylvania. We have a layover in Denver which is some where I haven't been before! One time when we were in Chicago on a layover I was so excited to call my uncle Cameron because he lived in Chicago. I bothered my dad so much about talking to him that he just pulled out his phone and we called him. We were only able to leave a message though before we had to board the plane.

Since then I have seen my Uncle Cameron so many times I can't count. The first time that I saw him in a long time, we decided to wright a book that was on E-mail.

Helm's Deep

A couple of days ago we made Helm's Deep. We found some rope and tackle and we hauled up a ladder near the window of the tree house. Each of the boys had a turn. When it was my turn I made it to the top but I ended up being stuck on my belt loop. I stayed there for about five minutes trying to get it off. When I made it to the top I fought Jared with my high impact battle sword. An Orc (me) doesn't last long against Aragorn (Jared) though! It was fun.

Our Trip to Virginia and Wahington, DC

This is what I wrote in my journal about the family trip we just took.....

Today is Monday as you might know. I will tell why I have not written this journal for ten days. That is because our family went on a trip. It was really fun. I loved it! We had a long drive, but we had a good night's rest the night before we left. We stayed in Salt Lake City. The airport was right next to our hotel.

We flew to Atlanta the next day and then on to Norfolk, Virginia. We flew on Delta. It is one of my favorite planes to fly on. Our plane had TV screens at each seat. We watched Animal Planet. When we landed we rented a car and drove to our hotel and had a good night's sleep.

For the next few days we went to famous houses of the President's plus the White House. Then we spent three days on the beach. Then we flew out. I am glad to be home.

The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan

This is the first book in my life that impressed me. My most favorite part in the book was when they killed the bore. I thank my mother for letting me read this book. And I thank John Flanagan for writing this book.

Pen pal Mail!

We got our pen pal mail today! Caleb, Jared and I have pen pals. It was great reading about my pen pal! He is from Texas. Having a pen pal is so fun!

Day on the hill

Friday was a great day. We got to present our bills. It was so fun. There were lots of homeschooling kids! All of them had bills. But this was not for real. We were just leaning how the legislature works in passing bills. My bill was about a Yearly Essay Contest. I debated my bill. It passed!

Cousin time

Friday was a great day. We went to Boise! we went right after dinner on Thursday. Just me, my dad, my sister, and one of my two brothers. Of course we needed someplace to sleep so we asked my Aunt Emily. She has two sons and their names are Barrett and Cameron. They are so adorable! It was so fun being with them. We built a castle with them. Isn't that cool or what? Olivia taped a video with Barrett and Cameron and me upstairs.

Experiment Day

Today my brothers and I did experiments. I did an experiment on hieroglyphs. It was a note that said I love you. I copied from a book I got from the library at Twin Falls. They were for my structure time not content hour. I have enjoyed reading them so far. Caleb colored a huge picture of a whale, rhinoceros, lion and monkey. Jared made a time line of his life so far. If was pretty cool. So far our day is great.

A great day

It was a great day today. I did lots of things today. Here are some of the things I did. First, I started out the day as normal. I got up and said my prayers, read my scriptures, and wrote in my sketch book. Then I brushed my teeth as always to be a good boy. And to do that you need to have clean teeth. And then I had a great breakfast with my family, that Olivia so humbly made for us. Then I played the piano. Then I discovered that we, that is me, and my family had to go to Twin Falls. That me and my two brothers had to take a state test. And so we went. We got to go to Johnny Carino's. Then we went on some errands and then came home. That's all I can remember for this very moment.

World War II

Today I learned about World War II. It was a great experience. I learned that Agents got to have little Pocket Radio's! I also learned the British invented little pens that concealed a blade inside that they could take out. I also learned that they tied rubber soles to their boots that were in the shape of feet to confuse the Japanese. That's all I've learned right now.

What I Did Today

I did lots of things today. Here are some of the things I did. First of all I said my prayers and read my scriptures. Second, I sketched in my sketch book with all these mythical creatures. For example, The Flon Lizard that has the power to turn itself invisible and attack their enemies from behind. The bat rat that can fly into space and still live and they have huge bat like wings. They can grow up to be as large as today's elephants! Third, I played the piano in twenty minutes. Next, I made lunch because I'm "Lunch Specialist," so then I make lunch. Then my family went to Dietrich and played with the Harris family and played Stratego and Risk, a game of armies that was cool. Then we came home and were just playing around with Tanner who had come over when his mom and dad were gone.

Ranger's Apprentice

Right now I am reading The Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan. My mom read it and said I would really like. And I do! I am on page 81. This book is about a boy who was an orphan and he thinks that his father died in battle as a brave knight. So he wants to join Battle School to train to become a knight so that he can follow in his father's footsteps. He ended up being selected as a Ranger's Apprentice with Halt. He didn't even know what the Ranger's did! Halt is teaching him that they are spies and they keep their eyes and ears open to protect the kingdom. Halt teaches him the Ranger weapons of a bow and arrow and a knife. They are like Jedi's who are protector's of the peace. Will is having some great adventures. I really like the book!
